How do I move to an SAP functional role/delivery from Presales/sales and what module to choose?

Hi,

I am currently in the role of an SAP Presales Consultant. I am an MBA in Marketing and BE (ECE) with over 8 years of experience in Presales, Bid Management, Sales Support, Demand Management, Marketing and onsite client facing experience. I want to move to an SAP Functional role as I believe there are more opportunities in Delivery in the SAP world. I have worked on the SAP GUI during my MBA which was part of our curriculum. However, never involved in a project and it is some time now when I have logged in an SAP system. I have understanding of the product to the limits of a Presales/Sales guy.

I have few questions jotted below. It would be a great help if you can show me the correct way:

1. How do I move to a functional role in SAP and what module would be the best to start?
2. Is it possible to jump to the latest buzz in SAP like Fiori/UI, S4 HANA etc. without having basic module knowledge?
3. Is it a good idea to move from presales to delivery after 8 years of experience?

Any response would be much appreciated which can give me a better insight.
