I'm having an issue with the SAP GUI Installation Server.   I have it installed, and I've created my "Package".  But when I run the package it's saying there are missing pre-requisites.  It then presents me with a interactive window with the name of my package on it.  I can then check mark that name, click "Next" and it proceeds to successfully install the package.

Clearly I'm missing something!  How can I get it to install properly?

I am currently having an issue deploying Business Client 4 along with SAP GUI 7.30 and SAP Easy Documentation. I have tried looking for the Business Client files on service.sap.com and can only find a .exe file and for the deployment i need a setup folder?

We have a customer that is trying to install SAPgui 7.20 on a Windows XP SP3 host where the System Drive letter is "H:" instead of "C:", and they can't perform this action because there is an error on the DLL registration (regsvr32.exe) in the installation phase.

I would like to know if someone have experience with an installation of SAPgui on Windows OS with System Drive letter different than standard "C:" and if there are problems with this type of installation.

Hello All,

I would like to change the SAP GUI 7.30 security setting to "Allow" during the installation for all users. I don't see any option on NwSapSetupAdmin to allow the security setting to be set "ALLOW". Any suggestions?

Hi experts,

If we want to display a preview of a PDF output from Adobe Document Services in the sap gui, it will not be displayed in the sap gui. Instead of that the Adobe Document Reader starts and shows the pdf document. The disadvantage is, that you can not browse from one pdf document to an other.

If have seen at other customers, thet the pdf may be shown within the sap gui itself. And than the SAP GUI offers Buttons to easily jump to the next file or the previous file.

I checked the settings of the SAP GUI and the settings of the Acrobat Reader, but I found no suitable option.

Where can I set the option, to display the generated PDF as preview in the SAP GUI itself rather than in the stand alone Acrobat Reader?

For some reason my on-screen keyboard won't work with the 'new' ABAP editor, only the 'classic' one. Can a few kind people try using the SE38/SE80 ABAP editor with the on-screen keyboard ? Anyone know why this would occur?

On-screen keyboard on Win7: Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Ease of Access -> On-Screen Keyboard.

I have configured a Windows Server 2012 machine with SAP Installation Server Administrator Tool v 9.0.35.0 (which I believe is the most recent version, can someone confirm please?).

I have followed the user guide, configured the share, LSH service, made sure services are running etc. yet I still get this error on most clients when they try run SapGuiSetup.exe

Please can someone help. I've always had trouble with this tool, specifically the LSH service, it is very VERY temperamental in my experience.

I'm Jared a Basis person, we received a report that a user is encountering an error when trying to insert INFO RECORD data in ME21N transaction code. the error is "Microsoft Visual Basic Run-time error '4605': This method is not available because of Clipboard is empty or not valid". Do you guys have idea if this is a Basis related issue and how can we solve this?

Hi all,

I have a problem with the latest patch (4) on SAP Logon 730.

Before, when I left click on a favorite link (in  Favorites node on the left tree), click "Properties" and then on "Connection Properties", I could see the properties of "Shortcut" created on the "Shortcuts" node of tree, with all data. Now the Window that appears is completely blank.

I attached a screenshot of a "Test connection" with the blank window.

Is it a problem of Patch 4?? I remeber that on Patch 3 it did not happen.

This is probably more a request for the developers. If you login with SAPgui Java 7.30(any revision) and you check the properties of this client eg SM04 -> Detail ...it shows as GUI Version 7.20

Please could you change this to reflect the correct version. It would also be nice if you could display the revision in the same manner used for SAPgui Windows patch.

The reason I'm asking for this is because we have a custom program to determine whether people are upgrading their clients and it is useless without the correct detail from the client.

we are trying to install SAP GUI 7.30 PL2. In several cases the installation crashes. In the nwsapsetup.log there is a "1W" who marks the package as disabled because of failing conditions. Afterwards there is another "1W" that the package could not be selected - that a disabled package can't be selected does make sense. But is it true that the deactivation of the package is the cause that it can't be selected afterwards?

Does anyone know what the conditions for installing "SAP dynamic test scripts" are? For what is "SAP dynamic test scripts" usefull - because if I don't need it, I can delete it out of my package list. I have checked this in "SAP Front End Installation Guide", "SAP Setup Guide" and other sources but I can't make it out.

Hi there,

we are running several installations of SAP GUI 7.30 PL2. I haven't checked all of the nwsapsetup.log files but in those I have checked, there is always a "1E  Server Path C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAPsetup\Setup could not be found". Even with proper installations this "1E" occurs in the log file, similarly to failed installations.

Is this a normal behavior?! Is anyone able to explain this to me? The log file text for this is attached below.

Hello!

I've recently installed new SAP GUI 7.30 (build 1337608, version 7300.1.0.1074) and now I have problem with menu bar in AdobeForms transaction SFP. The problem is that the is NO menu at all.

I've tried to install different versions of Adobe Livecycle designer - 9.0, 9.8, 10.4, all downloaded from SAP Marketplace, but for every version this problem was occuring.

I've also adjusted my registry as it is described in note 1001103, also without any results.

Does any of You faced the same problem as I have now? Do You have any solution for that?

We open SAP R3 from our Entrprise Portal.

When we click on SAP R3 link on the portal, Tx.sap file is downlaoded and opened.

But we have an issue where tx.sap download starts and gets hanged.

The most weird thing is it works on Firefox or other browsers but not on IE8.

All other browsers opens SAP R3 backend through portal .

But on IE 8 ,it does not.

Are there any settings or registries that need to be changed here?

This is an urgent issue for our user ,pLease if anybody can help.

I'm trying to deploy a silent installation of SAP GUI at a test client. The install string is: "C:\temp\source\Setup\NwSapSetup.exe" /package="SAPGUI730" /silent

If I remove the /package parameter I get this message:
