Dropped connection issue

We are having a issue where users in our ECC6.0, HR ECC 6 and ECC 5 systems are having their connections dropped.

 

The errors from sm21 are as below:

 

09:49:00 DP                                   Q0  4 Connection to user 4760 (NA001YO ), terminal 84 (NA001YO-DBY7) lost

09:49:00 DP                                   Q0  4 Connection to user 5743 (JA001ON ), terminal 155 (JA001ON-STM2) lost

09:49:00 DP                                   Q0  4 Connection to user 4807 (PA004PO ), terminal 94 (ER006CU-CLW1) lost

09:49:00 DP                                   Q0  4 Connection to user 5665 (CH028LA ), terminal 145 (CDCWKS5-IND3) lost

09:49:00 DP                                   Q0  4 Connection to user 4444 (WI005NE ), terminal 188 (WI005NE-DBY1) lost

 

Strange thing is at same time stamp, users are disconnected from many SAP servers.

 

1. Network is not intermittent or transient.

a. Not all users are affected on a server just some and they are from various sites around a fairly large region.

b. They can immediately reconnect without issue.

 

2. Firewalls do not show dropped connections.

 

3. Patches for the OS were put in place AFTER the issue started.

The systems are running on Windows Server 2008.

The event logs for the servers show the same information as SM21.

Client event logs Windows XP show no errors

 

The issue does not occur at any specific time, they do not happen to users at a specific location.  Not all users on a particular application server are affected only some of them. 

 

I have experienced the disconnection personally but, I cannot replicate the problem.

Hi,

 

I am working on max osx , after installing the latest SAP GUI 730 ver 3 also , some controls are not visible in my machine , is something i am missing in installation,

Checking with the SMOEAC transaction in CRM , where no of publications are 69, but no tree elements are visible to me

History don't save after install patch level 5 SAPGUI 7.3 for windows.

SAPGUI launchpad does not work on trying to connect to any system.

Hello Experts,

 

SAP GUi Launcpad does not work when I try to open any system from the available list of system entries.

I will explain my scenario as below:

1. Open SAP Logon from desktop.--- Opens correctly with all available system entries present.

2. Double click on on of the available system entry. --- Nothing opens and also SAP Logon Pad closes.

 

The same happens when I try to open WinGui from the portal.

I checked in the Task Manager and there is no process that is present for SAP GUI.

There is a process for Logon pad but it is killed once i perform step 2 above.

I also tried with different reg keys for SAP GUI but no solution.

 

This issue suddenly started a week back.

 

Note: This is not the issue on my machine but one of our users machine.

Also this issue is machine specific.I tried looking for solutions on SDN and other SAP forums but seems no one has encountered this issue before.

 

Please anyone can help as this is seriously affecting .

FileNotFoundException in Installation Server 9.0.36.0

hi all,

 

i am setting up an 7.30 installation server. After installing and patching to 9.0.36.0 i am getting FileNotFoundException while klicking at one of three links visible in Help --> About . The error comes, no matter which link i klick at

 

can someone else reproduce this error?

sap gui720 saplogon.ini use local file after remote path not worked

Hi all

I have saplogon.ini file on network share.

PC users have env variable SAPLOGON_INI_FILE = /path_to_network_share/saplogon.ini

If network share is not avaible ... how can i automatically switch to local saplogon.ini file?
SAP GUI can it?

SAP Screen Personas: PO Document Overview

Hello Experts,

 

I am trying to access the Document Overview - List of POs in the transaction me21n. When I click on the selection variant icon nothing happens. We need to use the list of recent purchase order/vendor specific orders on the Personas Screen.

 

I tried using me2n report but it seems the data was too much for the selection. Got a runtime HTTP_OUT_OF_EMGLOBAL_MEMORY and personas failed to start until I killed the process.

 

 

How to get data from the Document Overview.

SAP GUI for java - Installation in Portal 7.3

Hi

 

I am trying to install SAP GUI for java in my portal system.  I downloaded latest version(PlantinGUI7.30 ver 3) from service market place. and i am able to install SAP GUI for java on my desktop.  i placed the same folders in portal KM root directory, and i am giving URL for SAP GUI for java property under system administration pointing to the KM root folder.

 

But I am unable to launch this SAP GUI for Java and I am getting error GuiApplet2 not found error.

Details needed to use SAPSETUP export / import

I would like to locate detailed examples using the export/import features of SAPSetup.

 

See SAPSetup Guide 9.0, Version 9.0 2013-04-04 page 11

Section 3.2 - Administering an Installation Server

 

Import Products

Use this feature to add new SAP front end components to an existing installation server

for distribution over the network.

 

Export Products

Use this feature to export SAP front end components available on one installation

server to another.

 

I have current version of SAPSetup 9.0 patch 36 installed.  As well SAPGui 7.3 patch 5.  I have successfully created single-file installers and used them.

 

The details are missing how to setup and use Export/Import.  I have other SAPSetup Installation Servers and would enjoy the ability to export/import components to them.

 

Other like examples would be greatly appreciated as well.  There are times when using a Single-file installer to upgrade a Win7 PC from SAPGui 7.2 patch 0 or patch 12, or SAPGui 7.3 patch 4 to patch 5 the following message is generated.  Your system does not fulfill the prerequisites for the chosen components: Not all package prerequisites are fulfilled.  SNC Client Encryption:  SNC Client Encryption cannot be installed, because Single Sign-On software is already installed.  Channel Encryption Part:

 

I can click "Next" button and the install starts and completes with no errors.  How can I determine which like errors of "prerequisites" will occur, or what is the best method to upgrade?  I have over 3000 Win7 SAPGui clients, some at 7.2 patch 0, patch 12 both with Bex 3.5, or 7.3 patch 4.

SAP GUI using SNC

Dear all,

 

I need to test and implement the following: a way to connect from our customer's SAP GUI, to our SAP ERP via a secure connection, and vice versa (from my SAP GUI to my customer's SAP ERP).

 

I would like for someone to point in the right direction, or even to provide an example, as SAP documentation is not that specific on that matter (or I have not found the right document).

How to centrally disable Preassignment of language on SAP LOGON screen?

Hi all!

 

Someone that would share the knowledge on how to disable Preassignment of language on SAP LOGON screen from an administrative point-of-view?

In Note 1727111 you get the manual person-by-person way.

I am writing year 2013 so I am also expecting a central way of disable it. 

 

For me this is a new functionality from hell.

Component $APOLLO files in error after patching to 9.0.36.0

Hi all,

 

I've patched my Installation Server to 9.0.36.0, and I'm pushing my SAP GUI package to clients that already have 7.20 via SCCM.  After the install completes, the Front End opens to a 7.30 version, but I'm getting return code 144 on the installs.  When I check the SapSetupErrors log, I'm seeing the following:

Upon examining the NwSapSetup.log file, I see entries indicating that my package couldn't be selected because of the following:

Later, I'm seeing this 1W statement:

08:49:13 NwSapFeiUt  1W  COM server unregistration with 'sapregsv.exe' failed. Error message: Unknown error 0xC0000374. Error code 0xc0000374.

 

Followed by this 1E a little later:

08:49:21 NwSapsAtlC  1E  Script-action: BExInstaller.exe failed. Error code = 1

 

Then this:

08:49:22 NwSapsAtlC  1E  While processing Component '$APOLLO Files' with Id '{4C6645DF-8834-4B72-A87C-D60CC929CFC0}' 1 error(s) have been registered.

 

After the process is done, I've got a 7.30 Front End GUI that opens without errors, and I've also got a Business Explorer Analyzer add-in that opens without any errors.  I'm not sure how, given that the package shows disabled, and the errors that are showing up in the logs.  This is occurring on any test machine that I'm pushing to, so it's not a one-off.  How can I be sure that this is working correctly before I start distributing this package?

Upgrade from SAP GUI 7.20 to 7.30 on clients with new installation server

Hi all

 

We want to upgrade from SAP GUI 7.20 to SAP GUI 7.30 (some of them are already 7.30 SP 0) soon but I have the following problem:

 

On many (200+) of our clients SAP GUI wasn't installed from an installation server but from a local source. Therefore I created a .reg file which changes the source in the registry as follows:

 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP\SAP Shared]

"SapCreateKey"=dword:00000000

"SAPSetupDir"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\SAP\\SAPsetup"

"SAPsysdir"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\SAP\\FrontEnd\\SapGui"

 

When I now start the GUI on a client (Windows 7, SAP GUI 7.30 SP 0) and try to get an upgrade notification from the server (open it max. 10 times), nothing happens. I first though this is caused by the missing share so I created a .bat to get a share with "net use":

 

net use \\<netshare>\InstServer

 

Windows says the command was executed successful but the update notification still doesn't show up.

 

Anything else I have forgotten? Any help will be appreciated.

I made a recording using TCD in ECATT but im ending up with an error.

 

I recorded a the transaction MM02 and an interface mm02_1 was automatically created.

When i executed the tesr script  I got an error saying ' mm02_1 - tcode is not defined' . The error message no. is ECATT507.

Another observation i made is , when i completed the recording n checked the interface MODE , BINPT , WAIT  fields undet the tcode were empty and also the message table was empty.

 

I also tried entering the data manually , but it dint work.

 

Please help me out with this.

Personas Error - You are not allowed to access this system

We have installed Personas and done the configuration but in when we are trying to access Personas in browsers , we are getting "You are not allowed to access this system. If this is not correct , please contact your system administrator"

 

we have done all configurations in SPRO , managed system , created roles (tried with permission -1 also). How we can solve this issue?

SAP Screen Personas : Home page

when i go to page http :// <host>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/persos/mainapp/index.html i get screen something like this.

I have configured one system(name: Local) to reference to local system. When i click on "Local" horizontal bar above, for few seconds i see flavors icon on right side and then same page displayed again.

 

Please advise what I could be missing. Thank you.

Remote access to miniSAP on VM

Dear friends, can anyone help us with making access between 4 virtual machines   to MINISAP educational system with Hamachi using? What should we  type in the fields in connection label? How point the loopback server from 1 virtual machine ot others? Or maybe you can proposition another way, to solve our problem? We want one vmware to be a server, and another should connect to it. We need to work in one system by 2 user in the same time. Thank you.
